I know the new shelby is going to weight 3900 lbs + so I dont see the challenger being much lighter than the mustang because it's longer and wider than the 'stang. It would help if they had a stright axle insted of the IRS, and they could use some aluminum in place of steal in some places, but it will be hard to drop alot of weight.
I agree totally!! The new charger is about 4100,so I expect to see the challenger at at least 4000,which is kinda sad. I would love to see alot of carbon-fiber,but there goes the price then! I guess we'll have to wait and see! All I know is,the more weight that thing weighs,the more horsepower you'll need to not only move it,...but to compete with the 500hp competition,which is no joke! So they(dcx) has no choice but too dump in the 6.4L (500+hp) motor to stay competitive in their top model!
