The Mustang GT500 has 500hp and did 12.9 in the 1/4 mile for Car and Driver and it weighs 3900 pds. They say that it is comparative to the Charger SRT8 but it rained the night before and would probably be a bit faster if they tested both of them on the same day.

This brings up an interesting point. Either the Hemi 6.1l is under rated or the Mustang GT500 is over rated.

As dyno testing has proven on the SRT8 variants, the rwhp of the srt8 has been over well over 425hp when taking in driveline loss.
