Re: Cylinder 7 Missfire

Hi there, I am not from Canada but just got back from the Dodge Service department regarding the same issue. I just picked up my car yesterday (SRT8 with manual) and today the engine light came on. A friend hooked up his diagnostic meter and it showed a misfire on cylinder 7. I set up an appointment to have it looked at today but while waiting I checked this site out and found several other people had the same situation. It appears that when the car idles around 2500 to 2800 it triggers this. On this site, the SRT group said Chysler is aware of this and is in the process of developing a flash (like a patch for a computer) to fix this. It does not appear to affect your car as it does become annoying when the engine light flashes and alarms. Hope this helps.
