i'm really surprised that this is how they actually do this... i would have though that the car would be guided in a straight line by a connection to the ground, but propelled by it's own engine (like a slot racecar). Wouldn't there be a ton of safety points only determinable if the engine is running and driving the car? besides, i couldn't imagine it too difficult to put a remote control on the throttle to open it up all the way. it'd just be a flip of a switch! anybody have any experience with this? i'm curious....
