Yes, this is the lull before the storm. Whereas rumors suggest that the first Chally's out of the womb will be 6-gear manuals, they fail to denote that Gertag, the German manufacturer of DCX mashers for yonks, may very well ship trannies with that many cogs, you would do well to realize 4 out of 6 speeds from them. It's a Gertag thing, you understand. They do not comprehend ratios, you see...............it's all about gears
What I am doing, and as all Dodge aficionados must steel themsleves to do, is that beyond all rationality, sanity will prevail at DCX, and we will experience both a superb manual only Chally (what? NY is predicted to have bumper to bumper, 24-hr traffic jams by when?????, LA 2?????) (stop that! Don't let reality intrude on a good story!) when it first debut's, followed by an automatic (I loath automatics) in short order.
Oh! Sign me up for that manual-only piece of faux reality! I love abuse! Give me manual and let me die in LA!
Woops! Late mod. Make that an auto, thank you very much. I love manuals, but they are stupidity in most urban areas. Read 'em and weap.
Through the haze, all of you must help me here. I see a 'Stang zeroing in on my wallet, a GT, with a solid rear axle! Yikes! DCX? I want a Challenger! I was too young to afford one when you blipped it on to the event horizon when I was in high school and college. And now you taunt me with one targeted to that time frame, in the last century, when we had Americans here, not wannabe's in their uncountable droves? How am I supposed to cope? I need guidance here.
You reply. We computed all of that, and with our outofdate equations, we siphered that the 6spd manual was perfectly bracketed for the current timeframe of 1971-1978.
We vill build it and you vill buy it. Underphukingstand?
P.S. I will be amazed if a Mustang is not already in my garage before they get their ****e together. Problem is this happened before. In 1969. No. This not dejavu. No. This is not denial. This is numero 3 of 3. Forever.
