I hope that DCX comes up with a reasonable price structure, but I am afraid it will use the same pricing as the Chargers. In searching the web for Charger SRTs on dealer lots, I discovered that they are: 1. Scarce (1-2 on some 5-star dealer lots) and 2. Expensive (they are ordered loaded to maximize dealer profits. Every one that I have seen have Options I, II and III. This drives the price up to over $45,000). In addition, due to the demand, many dealers will be selling the 2008 Challenger for MSRP or higher.
It will be hard, but I will wait for the 2nd year of the Challenger for three reasons: 1. Better price, 2. Avoid first-year problems and 3. Possibly get a 6.4 HEMI or 'Cuda model.
