Re: Report: Dodge to build just 5,000 Challengers in first year

I know, I know, dealers know NOTHING about future cars.

With that said and out of the way, I was talking to the sales manager of a local Dodge dealer today, and he is all excited about the 5000 Challenger SRTs that are coming out, and said that there will be a FEW 6.4Ls floating in the group. Said the reason is: MB no longer controls the actions of C, so they cannot stop a competitive engine choice (500HP) that rivals MB's "whatever" engine they have. He said the 6.4 will require big bucks, if you can even get one. This guy is fairly young, has a LOT of enthusiasm, and seems to just love muscle. Be cool if he is right, and even cooler if it means more 6.4s in the future.
