the muscle car era winded down perhaps but the big blocks still had monstrous torque , as a teenager in the mid 80's ; I remember my shot down (tranny was slippin'gears / body parts flyin'off/and susp.+bumper low to the ground) '74 Grand Prix 455c.i. which it only took 1/3rd of the gaz pedal depressed to make the tires smoke from a standstill , until I backed-off .... I miss that big boat
