Who demanded the "special" limited edition for Canada. 99% of us would have been content with just the "lowly" SRT8. This in my opinion is just Chrysler trying to scam every cent out of these cars. I stand a very good chance of getting one of these 2008's, but I am seriously considering either buying it to resell or passing and getting the 2009 with manual transmission. I think as far as a weekend driver the 2009 would be more fun and I would worry less about parking lot dings etc. Plus, if I wanted to change something to make it more my style, I could without worrying about value etc. Also, for the cost of the 500 badges, I could drive it all summer and not cost a dime in gas.

Just my two cents... while I still have two cents to rub together!
I wonder why the much higher price in Canada ? U.S. is @ $38,000 plus GG charge (Don't know about delivery)
When this Canadian price of $45,000 was announced, the U.S. dollar was worth $1.02 Canadian. That's $760. additional // no sweat, that would make it @ $39,000. // not $45,000. The only other differences are the L.E. 500 charges which were added to after that $2,000. delivery $1300. (it's built here ???), and the GG charge of $3300. (I think). So all these things are charged for in addition to the original Canadian pricing of $45,000. Considering the difference in the dollar making a total difference of only $760. why is the base price $7,000. higher in Canada, plus the additional charges ???
I have the first one coming to my dealer, and I'm still taking it, but I'm upset that the price difference makes no sense to me.
The only thing I can figure is that the U.S. price was set, then Dodge seen that people were willing to pay more for them (being raised at the dealership), and decided to make some of that up in Canada. 500 cars times $7,000. =$3.5Million. Nothing else makes sense about this price difference.
