Re: How Many Folks Own a 70-74 Challenger?

I also have had several ‘cudas and Challengers over the years – the one I am currently restoring sounds very similar to yours – 70 R/T, FC7 purple with white stripe and interior, 440 4bbl 4sp Dana, but with the Track Pack (3.54 ratio) rather than the Super Track Pack. I won’t have pictures for a year or two, but I’m anxious to see yours.
In the waiting to be restored category, I have a 70, FC7 with the 340 package, 4sp, black interior etc. – originally purchased for parts but has become a project.
I would love to pick up a new Challenger but Canadian pricing is somewhat frustrating considering that our dollar is pretty much at par. Also, I would be trading a 300C, so it is difficult to justify (and convince my wife) that it is worth it to ‘trade up’ to essentially the same car with 2 less doors. I’ll see how tempting it is when they finally hit the show room, but I’m most likely to buy a used one from the US if our pricing situation doesn’t improve.
