After trying many different tires, we have had the best luck with the Hoosier drag radials, they are alittle pricey, but seem to hook the best. Our best 60ft time was on those tires (1.50 60ft time) But I am a big fan of the MT ET's as well.
What really limits all out drag tires like many Mustangs run are the rear brake size. We could run a drag slick/radial with more side wall and a smaller wheel if we changed the rear braking system. The downside is that it would mean removing a great rear brake and we like the car for its all around performance.
