Re: Challenger Convertible

I saw the Car and Driver pic of the Challenger Convertible today... I'd like to see more. Anyone have a way to scan and post? Maybe I should do that myself? Anyway, the thing I noticed 1st and most y different about it was the front windshield pillars (A pillars?) and horizontal support were a brushed aluminum look. I'm not so sure I like that. I like the body color paint there myself. It looked a little cheap IMO. I guess it was another attempt at a design cue to recall memories of classic styling.

The caption under the photo says:

What it is: The recently introduced Challenger loses its top in 2009.

Why is it important: Gives people mourning the loss of the Prowler a nostalgic alternative.

Competition: Reborn Chevrolet Camaro, Plymouth Prowler, a 70s Challenger, a mullet.

Estimated arrival and cost: Arrives in the spring of 2009. Expect a $5,000 premium over the hardtop.
