The cars are really different animals..The GT500 is 500 hp stock,and I've bumped it up to 700 at the rear wheels. It's very fast. Only ran it once at the strip,and turned a wheel spinning 11 sec run at 128mph..The Challenger is very docile,and predictable,great smooth ride..I think the Challenger would be a great choice for a every day car,it's very comfortable and easy to drive. The GT500 works you to drive,but reaps great rewards in performance. If the Dodge had maybe another 100hp and a 6 speed,things would be a tad more even. But I love the looks and sound of the SRT8. It's a great car and def worth owning
