As a New Yorker, I agree, although the taxes and cost of doing business here is also ridiculous, so I feel their pain. As a small business man here, once being a simple truck driver, it annoys me what I have to pay in taxes now. We refuse to get a storefront or hire employees because we cant afford to and I will move away as soon as I can (all my family is here) and my former business partner left many years ago. So, yes, dealers can be pricks, but dont blame them in Ny for trying to survive. The car business sucks now with gas prices and Dodge has overall the worst mpg of any company, so they are in trouble. Most Dodge dealers I would have to assume are in trouble, after all even Nissan and Toyota are. Nissan just announced expected losses in revenue compared to the last 3 years, yet but more small car sales. Toyota is out of batteries for the Prius at last check. Dosge literally has nothing in the pipeline. They marketed the Hemi beautifully. Now what? Big change in the automotive industry underway.
I saw a 08 in Camden (Central NY) for 51k which isnt bad considering the typical 15k gouge. Its gone now, but there is one in Rochester:
