Trojan Challenger runs new PB! Almost but not quite!

What a day! I left my house at 10:00am friday over to Spankin Time Motorsports to finish up the car and get to Famoso 3 hours away by 6:00pm. Well nothing ever works as planned these days! Car was done at 4:00 and the had to be dyno tuned after that! They run tell midnight at Famoso. Long story short we didnt leave St tell 9:00pm. Good news is that I got a call from M and H john who told me i could run privatly with 10 cars tell 3:00 am. I was amazed they were running a private session. The temp was 66*'s.

Adam dialed in the boost to 17lbs. With well over 800 to the wheels we set out for Famoso at 9 and pulled into the track at 12:30am.
Met up with Stanko, Paulie, Ryan, and Carlos.
They tell theres been several accidents on the track and there 60's are hurtin! Said the track was way slick! Usually Steve cuts great 60's with his jeep so now im tripping out! All this new TQ and HP and the tracks a skate rink! Wtf am i gonna do? Its hard enough on a decent track! Well it time's to make it happen! This is what its all about! So me being the conservative type i decide to do a little shake down run and see whats really going on!
First pass was a 10.6, I was not impressed! 1.8 60'.
But I new it was a soft launch and for the first time on slicks the car tracked perfectly! No skating, that was huge for me! Im gonna go for it!
The track felt great.
I did notice the top end felt weak! Adam told me to watch the boost gauge at the top!
So I go again, this time I cut a 1.59 60' and at the top I see the boost drop to 12;bs! Wtf! Belts slippin! Dang! Get back to the pits and they hand me a 10.18 slip at 136mph. Holy Crap!
Yeah Boy! And the belt slip at the top!
Adam decide to put the 15lb pully on. If I cold keep 15lbs thruout the pass I was a shoe in! I Staged, Bam! Busted the belt!
Grab the back up belt, stage again! Bam threw the belt again!
Turns out the larger upper 15lb pully was to close to the idler pully and the belt was pinching between the 2 pullys! That was it they shut the track down!
Never got a real full pass! I am very pleased with the car!
Had I not lost 5lbs of boost on run 2 I would have hit a 9.X .
It was a crazy day as I was ready to race all day friday and finally got to Sat morning!
Adam ran 3 9.8's in a full street trim Mustang that he built for a friend!
Were gonna fix the pully issue!
The new Fore Hat is working great! Ive got TONS of extra fuel now!
I wanna say thanks to ST Motorsports for all there help!
Adam, Brandy, John, and Jimmy are badass! I never heard nothing but whats next out of these guys!
9's for me are real close. The car felt so solid on my new M and H slicks.

I did hear about the 9.70 strip car runs. Looks to me like theres gonna be quite a few Kenne Bell cars making there way to the top!
Congrats are also in order for Ryan who ran a 11.3 this evening on a brand tune from ST Motorsports.
I picked up almost 1/2 sec from Ohio!
Car has once again bettered itself with another track day.
So for 1 shake down run and 1 90% pass Im happy!
Oh and I will scan and post my slip saturday afternoon.
Also we got a HD video of the pass coming soon!
Ive been up for 24hrs and Im sure I may have forgot something or someone.
Still 2 hours from home and beat!

Well heres the timeslip and the weather report! I still cant believe they let us run in the middle of the night! That was Sick!!

Video.

Famoso Graveyard Shift!
