I'll also be very surprised if the 6.4 ever sees the light of day - perhaps for VERY limited "competition" or "track" use only, but I really can't see it becoming a regular option. Don't get me wrong, I hope it does... but realistically speaking I don't see it happening.
As far as the Z28 name not being used, I think Chevy is really missing the boat on this one. The Z28 was distinctly Camaro, whereas the SS moniker has been used on just about every Chevy model ever made (even the Cobalt... woo-hoo). Keep the Z28 and dump the SS.
