I think your buddy is smoking crack. GM can no more tell their dealers how much they can charge for the camaro than Dodge can tell their dealers what they can charge for the Challenger (it's that anti-trust thing). The only thing GM can do to control prices is to flood the market with cars. Also, I find it hard to believe that a maxed out SS with a 400hp V8, 6spd, brembo brakes, etc. is only going to be $33k. A maxed out V6 Malibu LTZ is $28.9k.
