I see Vortech kits for the 5.7 six speed, the KB's are for 6.1's, the Magnuson is for 6.1's. Only kit I see for the 5.7 auto is a Procharger kit?....am I missing something here? I tried searching and couldn't find out anything.
That's about right. The only supercharger kit for the 5.7 is Procharger. I am talking about kits with tunes. And even their tune is
PISS POOR. I have seen several prochargers that ran like **** with the box tune from procharger. They rushed theirs to market while the rest of the vendors are trying to get it right.
Let me tell you it's the tune that's important. Every tuner will tell you that they can tune an RT without a problem. I'll bet you that at least 90% of them can't. The computer programing is much differant in the 2009 5.7 than the others. Hell I will bet you most tuners will tell you that they have even done several just to get you in the door. Then after a few days find themselfves in way over their heads. That's what happened to me.
If you have a good tuner then you can
probably get any of the 5.7 kits and get it custom tuned and be fine. There are a lot of tuners that have learned what #'s to put in what table to get a desired result. The problem with the 5.7 is it doesn't work that way. That's why no one is putting out the kits for the 5.7.
