Re: Your Challenger is Fast! Now lets make it turn!

There are significant bumpsteer changes in just a 40mm (1 1/2 inch) range up and down from at rest ride height. These changes occur hundreds and thousands of time as you drive in every day conditions. It is the normal motion of the suspension that creates these large changes. In OE configuration bumpsteer is measured to total 15mm. The installation of Pedders EP2113 Bumpsteer Correction Kit reduces this range from 15mm OE to 4mm Pedderised. The chart below shows the amount of height change in 10mm increments across and the bumpsteer vertically.

Each change represents front wheel toe in and toe out movement that essentially scrubs away your tire life as you drive. Reducing this range from 15mm to 4 mm adds thousands of miles to your front tire life while improving your driving experience. Additional changes in your functional alignment specifications occur as the control arm and radius rod bushes wear in normal daily driving use. Worn, cracked and torn OE radius rod bushes allows excess motion in the radius rod arm. This excess motion leads to more frequent changes in operating alignment angles. These short videos highlight the nature of the underlying instabilities.

This is one of the most inexpensive bushings on the LX, and one that that is easy to replace. This will make a dramatic improvement in your tire wear.
