Very interesting, although not so surprising.

There is a lot of bad blood between GM the UAW in Canada and even the Canadian government. GM had received some no-interest loans in the past to upgrade their plant in Quebec in order to maintain the production of the Camaros and Firebirds over there.

A couple years after that GM pulled the plug and justified their move by saying "We are closing this plant because we will not produce any more Camaros and Firebirds. Ever."

I believe they still owe some money to the Canadian Gov't. I also believe that they would be obligated to build the Camaro in Canada because of some deals with the UAW.

All of this is second hand information, but it would help explain the decision to drop the Camaro.

In addition, we all know the company is in really bad shape from the financial standpoint...

Maybe that will leave a bigger market for the Challenger...
