Lucky dog I long to get my ride and hit the shows!
The car is new the paint is new as is the clear coat.
I personally never wax a new car until its at least 3-4 months old, thats just me.I usually put on wax by hand take it off with a buffer a nice lamb wool low speed buffer. You can find them at sears etc..
Id use Ice by turtle wax for right now then move to a better paste in a few months as the ice is easy on easy off and not too abrasive. You might grow to like Ice as I have no residue....
I use it often on my vette and it holds up well its hands on and off though no buffer.
FYI:
A foam pad for the buffer and the right mequiers product can get any swirls out of the paint once the car is a bit older some time down the line.
Matter of fact I lent my c5 out to my dad for a week or two so he can recapture his youth and I'm expecting a trashed car to return so I will be at it as well this weekend and it may require a paste wax this time as the seasons ending soon.
That vette is a real pain to wax its so low you need a roller seat just to get the sides adequately..
We all have our own ways of doing things but this seems to work for me thought Id pass it down.
