Re: Challenger Powertrain Question - Part 1 - Choose your Powertrain

Speaking of Kids, how about my suggestion for a light weight, high revving 4.7 L Hemi w/ Cylinder deactivation for great gas mileage, in a "T/A" model, instead of the V6?

LJB

I like the Jr.Hemi idea,
[Besides my screaming 340, I also had a couple of reliable,
regular-sipping 318s, back in the day....]
But, could a Jr.Hemi be any less $$$ or weight than a 5.7?

Would there be a niche for T/A if it costs more,
but weighs less than the hemi R/T,
through extensive use of lightweight materials?

And just as food for thought,
what about the Crossfire's 330hp supercharged
SRT-6 mill for a lightweight T/A?
[I still love my 94 Thunderbird SC....]
