From 18 years drag racing experience (10s in the 1/4 mile @ over 123 mph) a auto is stronger & more consistent than a standard. This goes for a 600+ hp "street-car" & is my personal experience.
Maybe you are saying that "Dodge" doesn't have an auto strong enough to withstand the hp.

I want a 6 speed in this new Challeneger just to enjoy the car, & jam-gears, etc.

I'll be VERY DISAPPOINTED if they don't offer a PISTOL GRIP SHIFTER!!
