If Dodge wants to really make some real money on this beast they need to make it affordable like mustang pricing. They need all kinds of options and not hold out on the big power for a year. Thank you Dodge for giving us a dream but dreams only last forever as a reality. Make it happen.
Dodge is finally entering the pony car market again, yes. Sports car market...not really. There is a certain Dodge Viper that has been around for several years that has a practical cult following. And whether most people want to admit it or not, the SRT-4 (the first of the SRT vehicles) set the bar for performance of sport compact cars ever since it came out in 2003.
Whether or not you like the Charger being a 4 door car and an automatic, you can't deny the car is selling well, and making a good name for Dodge as a whole.
The big power will come as soon as they possibly can I'm sure. But it's going to take a little bit of time. If you are familiar with the SRT division, you know they can't do anything until they have a production version of the car to work with. I'm sure however, that they will have their hands on one of the earliest production versions so they can get started. And they have to do a little bit of work with the 392ci HEMI to get it to pass emissions as well.
