And factor the "new" factor of the Camaro and tons of guys who just paid 45k for a vette will see what they couldda got for 10k cheaper.
Sry. Chevy already said the car will be tuned not to compete with the Corvette.
i'm on the mailing list for the new camaro and it comes with the LS3. i don't BELIEVE pricing is out yet, but for the SS (LS3 model) it should be really high 30's. so what's done is done. the vette guys aren't going to be mad, they weigh 700lbs less and make more power stock than the LS3 Camaro. the reason chevy said it won't compete with the vette is because they know the weight of the camaro is going to be a MAJOR weakpoint on a roadcourse or even a 1/4 mile track. the vette is in another league than the Camaro/Challenger and vette owners will most likely not regret their purchase (unless they overstepped their financial boundaries by buying the vette).
