Changing a wheel will not effect the p/steering . I do not know or have any info on the 09 Ram wheel so I cant really say if it would fit . With the way Chrysler uses certain parts across many car lines there may be a chance it may . So you would have to get hold of a new Ram and compare the parts to see if it would fit
