Beautiful shade of red in the pictures for the high octane red. I doubt I'd buy it as a package for the red but it's really pretty.

Take it easy

I thought the hood, roof and trunk on the Challenger was supposed to be black.

Kind of cool, but $2,500 just for cosmetic changes seems a little high.

Got to give Dodge's marketing guys credit, however, for trying to make a 7 year old car seem "new" and more exciting (e.g., MOPAR 14, Core SRT, Scat Pack, and 100th Anniversary).

I would buy it just to have the color!

Love it... can't wait to see them. Love the red color.

yawn....I think its their worst special edition package yet

they are experts in coming out with 1 or 2 special editions a year......trying to make every owner think his car is special

this special edition is so bad it doesn't even have new stickers and costs $500 more than the other special editions w/ stickers

I like it honestly. I guess we will have to see a window sticker to see exactly what the Anniversary package has for $2,500 or whatever it will be. It may be marketing but it sells... My guess is they won't build that many so they will sell them all. They are doing something right because each month and each model year the Challenger sales continue to increase and the car is virtually unchanged since 2011.

What are you talking about? My car is special...

Kidding aside, I think the seats, badges and wheels are very well done and look a lot better than the Mopar 14 sticker package. Heck, I'd pay for the seats alone. LOve the molten red with the red seats. Wish there was a performance difference though.

I love the Hi Octane color on these, and those wheels are really nice. The offset on them has been changed to push them out flush with the fenders.

Oh, you're right. Dang-it! I'm getting my special-edition and limited-edition -all at the same time- vehicle packages confused. :icon_confused: Silly me!

But can you have a 100th anniversary edition limited edition scat pack car is the real question.

I guess we will have to wait and see when one hits inventory to see what is actually included with that package. I am sure I will love the RED paint color... LOL.

Seriously, to the people saying it isn't worth it, how much do you think the package should cost? You're getting unique upgraded paint, unique 20 inch wheels, special leather interior, unique badging, etc. You're GETTING 2500 dollars worth of upgrades over a base car that only has this option. Oh and also the SRT steering wheel on a non SRT. I would've paid 6 or 700 dollars for my car to come with that alone.

well it's not worth it to me..."worth" of course being relative and subjective to the buyer.
I just don't see the value of what they are offering = the price they are asking...someone else might...they can buy it if they want...makes me no nevermind

Maybe a grand, tops. It's a unique exterior color but it's no better quality than any other paint Dodge is offering which is clearly not Ferrari quality. The steering wheel looks blah. The wheels are nice but uninspired. I doubt the quality of the leather is any better than my 09 SE. The biggest markup though is on cheaply made stick on badges. $2500 is crazy for what you get, some folks got money to burn and will pay it though. more power to them.

So you think 1000 dollars should buy unique paint, 20 inch wheels, leather interior, unique SRT steering wheel, and any unique badging? Man, how often do you buy a new car and when you do, are there any options on it?

Too bad it doesn't have the SRT seats like the new R/Ts have. There are a lot of extras. The price adds up fast. I'd get it just to have a Challenger without a front license plate. LOL I just put my name in at the local Dodge garage to drive dealer trades for them. Oh, boy, this could be expensive.

Agreed. When I bought my classic, the Heritage wheels were almost $1k upgrade from the Envy wheels. I would expect unique paint, wheels, seats, etc. would be at least $2k.

That Red is a very nice color...and the price is on-line with what you get.
Dodge needs to make a few bucks like any other business...they are not the American Red Cross.
The V6 and Base RT's are a great deal to begin with...heck..the SRT gives you near supercar performance for under 50k.

Well everybody has their own ideas on what something is "worth"
For example...I'm reminded of a recent post by a member who was outraged over the cost of some after market side scoops he ordered...he didn't feel the cost was "worth" the price he paid for the part he recieved.
Again, what something is "worth" is subjective.
It's a nice package but $2500 nice?...not to me.

Pictures show the black leather interior, which I like better than the red...

For an extra $2,500 I'd rather have the MOPAR 14, or a Shaker Edition, or Scat PAck upgrades....which leads me to believe there are too many "special editions" this year...

According to Allpar, it sounds like the anniversary package takes the place of the Super Sport Group and the radio upgrade.

"..including 20-inch aluminum wheels, exclusive Foundry Black or Molten Red ‘cloud print’ heated Nappa leather, flat-bottom steering wheel, Premium Boston Acoustics audio, performance suspension and steering, die-cast paddle shifters and commemorative jewelry."

To me, the 100th Anniversary Challenger is a lame concept. Anniversary models commemorate milestone production dates for a particular model, not when the company was founded. If Dodge wanted to build an anniversary model, they should have come out with a 40th Anniversary edition in 2010 (1970+40).

Also, on a related matter, I don't know how many 100th Anniversary editions Dodge plans to build, but Autoweek is reporting that the MOPAR 14 will be limited to 100 cars.

Now the package may or May not be worth it. But a sound system upgrade, a wheel upgrade and some sort of undefined suspension upgrade that may be the equivalent of the super sport group ... Clearly they are charging prices comparable to what those things would cost if you bought them as options separately.

The radar red seats look cheap to me and not good for hiding wear. These red seats look better and look like they'd hide wear better.
