That's what I wanted to know? The picture looks like my car used on the Webelectrics site.
hemiwoman 07-28-2009, 12:54 PM I talked to owner of Webelectrics. These are his taillight kits.
buckwheat 07-28-2009, 01:07 PM These lights seem to cause some drama from the reading I have done.

Greatly overblown, imo. My conversion has been one of my most enjoyable mods, and I am satisfied the safeguards in the kit are adequate, perhaps not even needed. Cripes, if you buy into the electrical system overload arguement, then forget about halos, underbody light kits, killer glass, or even adding subs, a hardwired radar detector, or plugging in a laptop.

How long did it take to install? Easy? Medium? Difficult?
MoparOhio 07-28-2009, 05:22 PM Very interesting. I'd love to do it but I cannot help but think I will never see it in action driving the car.....

It's an Easy install. Follow the instructions and take your time. It took about an hour, but I ran the new wiring harness for the center lights down inside the OEM conduit and then wrapped the conduit. Also, I used dielectric gel on the kit to help keep out water. Not really needed, just being careful. Hardest part is getting the center light assembly off, which requires a little muscle and care, but can be done by anybody. Anyone with experience could do this in under a half hour, but then it's not a race.

Yes you will. You'll see it reflecting off cars behind you at night when you look in the mirror. In glass store fronts.
The best part will be people coming up to tell you how cool it looks.

Very cool! Couple of questions, do you ship to Canada and do you use UPS, who screws us Canucks with ridiculous 'Brokerage Fees' that can double the price of anything ordered. (for example a t-shirt for $19.95 turned into a $50 shirt thanx to UPS)
hubuki 06-01-2010, 09:46 PM I am from Canada too, can you ship it with USPS instead of UPS, Fedex and DHL.
DodgeHemi61 07-09-2010, 08:52 AM Thest sure look great. Do the outer lights still shut off after short time when not turning? And will this unit work with replacement style LED bulbs? Thanks
mustang65 12-22-2010, 04:45 PM the only problem i had installing mine was i dropped the plastic wing nut down the rear quarter, two beers later i had it finished, looks and works great!!

Nice how they promptly answer our question eh? :disgust:
allstardrummer 02-19-2011, 09:50 AM CROSS BORDER SHIPPING US/CAN - Our government's must get their cut - customs lol. Too bad the NAFTA doesn't apply to the consumers - the ones who pay the taxes in the first place. This is a great product though. I want it.
OttoPilot 02-19-2011, 11:09 AM No problem with my Web Electrics kit either. I talked to the owner who said he had addressed earlier concerns. I have used other of their kits and found them responsive and willing to make anything right without pointing fingers.
The only problem I had on the install was removing the center light bar. I found that loosening the wing nuts a few turns and rapping on the studs with a wooden mallet saved a lot of tugging and swearing.
Can anyone tell me if any of the 70's Challengers had sequential tail lights from the factory ?

Nope. Not an option.
Thank you for the prompt response, thats what I thought but wanted to be sure before installing the kit which appears to have various problems anyway.
Regards,
Dom

Deciding to install the kit based on it's appearance, function, or reliability makes perfect sense to me.
Whether it was or was not an option over 40 years ago or not didn't really weigh into my own thinking, but to each their own!
Cheers!
There's alot of truth to that. Just curious and wondering about some of the problems that have arisen.

Dom
DodgeHemi61 04-28-2011, 09:24 PM Is this kit plug and play, or is wire splicing required and light socket replacing required? Thanks

actually it was a Ford/Mercury thing from the 60's
saw a Challenger today with these lights... I thought awesome.
I had heard about them for a while but didn't want them cause it was a Ford thing not a Dodge thing but after seeing them, who cares..

I love mine, and they were easy enough to put in too. Got mine at RPI. Highly recommended.
doctroprint 07-20-2011, 07:53 PM Not an issue with mine. Directions were clear but the illustrations could have been better.
Take your time and it goes well. The issues I have heard were.
1. They are to fast. Mine are fantastic
2. They are more of a power drain. Never noticed & car is equipped with an alternator.
3. On occasion they may trip out and speed up while in use. I have seen this after sitting at a light forever. Next turn was back to normal and hav'ent seen the issue again.
4. They are to much like the stang. The use of all 4 lights stretch out over 15 inches and looks nothing like the stang. If it was a ford thing...we took it and now we own it.
5. Concern with cops and law. Looks so much like a factory option, will never hear of this being an issue.
Outstanding inexpensive mod to date.

I went to the Webelectric website and printed out the instructions, much cleaner pics and easier to follow. 9 pages worth.
