: High praise for this kit!
Donnysan 09-23-2010, 05:41 PM I bought a WE sequence kit for my car shortly after taking delivery last summer. I loved the sequencing tails, but within a few weeks I had some glitches that showed up I wasn't able to solve on my own, so I put my car back to stock. WE was very good about tech support, and did offer some ideas, but it just looked like I had a wonky set of sequencers. My option was to send it back for replacement or refund, but you know how more important stuff happens, like selling a house and moving... so that never happened.
I read on here about WE improving the kit with smart sequence, which seemed to solve some the issues I was experiencing. I didn't get around to ordering up a new kit until recently, but I have to say, the improved kit works flawlessly and I am very happy with the results. It looks awesome and I much prefer the non-squenciing of the tails with braking, hazard flashers, and the flash on lock/unlock.
Best of all, I didn't have to install the center light socket harness, since my old kit was never removed and the wiring harness was still installed. I just had to install the LR tail light sockets, cover the OEM sockets, and install the new squencers, phone cord, and jumpers. It was a snap.
I am SOOOO glad to have my sequencing tails back!! Thanks WE!
Tinstar 10-01-2010, 05:16 PM Donnysan, My nephew Vince saw your at a cruise-in last week and called me and said I have to get this item. Well, I ordered it and recieved the kit yesterday. So I am going to my Nephew's this Saturday to let him help me install the kit. After reading some problems others were having, I almost sent the package back without installing it. But, was convinced to give it a try. Maybe we will see you in Alabaster Saturday night. Tom aka Tinstar

So do you mind giving an exact explanation of what parts come out to get sent back, and what configuration remains on the car? Can the car be driven in the "intermediate" configuration while waiting for the upgrade/fix?
Thanks in advance!

The improved kit should be just fine. Mine has worked flawlessly. Remember, you can easily return to stock if need be, and WE stands behind their product, meaning they'll refund the price if not satisfied, or will replace anything that isn't up to snuff.

Yes, you can return to stock and drive the car while getting the upgraded sequencer. You'll need to talk to Lawrence about what needs to be sent in, but here's what was new and what was reused on my kit. -
The seqencing harness that connects the two fender tail lights is replaced with two individial sequencers. These are connected together using a phone line. Also, the wiring that runs from the center tails no longer uses what is essentially a trailer lighting harness (which works okay, just is a bit bulky). Instead, the center light jumpers now connect to each fender tail, then to the new harness installed in the center tails. The only thing that is run is a new, much thinner, set of wires as part of the jumper.
In my case, I never removed the center tail light harness that WE sent with the old kit, and the "large" trailer type wiring harness that connected the center tail lights to to the sequencers was still in place. What I did was connect the jumper wire to the old wiring harness. To return to stock all I did was disconnect this harness, the oem connection was still in place back in the center tail light assembly.
With the new kit, I just removed the old sequencer harness, which was still in my car, removed both fender tails and added the two sockets that came with the new kit, covered the extra oem sockets, connected the individual sequencers to each tail light, then connected the OEM harness on the back side of the sequencers. A new phone line connection was run from the left sequencer to the right, and the center tail light jumper was connected to the left and right sequencers. Finally, the jumper was connected to the wiring harness that was in place that led up to the center tail light.
It's easy to see that when a light is turned on, say the left turn signal, that the kit sends up to the center light the command to turn on the innermost light, then the one to the left, then the innermost light on the fender tail lamp, then the outer tail lamp. The new data line between the fender tails tell all lights to come on when the brake is depressed or the hazard lights are on. Pushing on the brake illuminates all lights, even when sequencing, though the lights still sequence with the brake lights on, just like how they do when all the tail lights are on at night.
I like it a lot.

Awesome! Thanks very much for the detailed info!

Tinstar 10-03-2010, 05:41 PM Hey DonnySan, I am glad to have seen you in Alabaster last evening, and wanted to again thank you for realligning my tail lights. The light kit from WE is working great so far.
LA. DODGER 01-13-2011, 07:15 PM Easy install...Looks and works great!!!
firstalarm 01-13-2011, 07:28 PM If you want the brake lights to sequence when applied, don't use the phone cord provided. I happen to really like this look. Not too many cars on the road can do this!. Its your choice. Enjoy
Rallye72 01-13-2011, 08:30 PM is there a link to "WE" ?
fishmannaknp 01-13-2011, 10:18 PM www.webelectricproducts.com (http://www.webelectricproducts.com) will get you there....Love mine as well.
Mopar4Bama 01-14-2011, 06:56 AM Video? Anyone?
Big question. I have the sequence kit on my 10 Challenger SE. The headlights lights dim now when I brake or they flicker slightly (dim to bright) when I apply the turn signals. Is this normal?? How can I fix this?? JR
jstkilntim 02-25-2011, 09:00 PM I agree that WE's customer service is great. I bought a kit used from a forum member who removed it from his dad's car. It had issues.
I e-mailed them & was honest & told them I bought it used. They had me send it back for repairs & it has worked flawlessly since.
