Hi! The drivers side rear turn signal light is out on my SE. I've search and searched for a how-to on changing the bulb, but I haven't found anything. Can anyone explain how to get to the bulb? My dealership wants $35 to change it, and I'm confident it isn't a tedious job and I can do it on my own, I just have no clue where to begin!

I've been a lurker here for a few months, you all are full of knowledge so I figured I'd ask. Thanks in advance!:)

It should be pretty easy. Theres a little molding right above it you should be able to push down and outward to remove. There's a plastic wing nut you'll see inside the trunk that holds it and the lining inside the trunk. Inside that lining there's a connector that hooks up to the assm. There's a clip on the connector you'll need to slidr outward and push down on the little paddle and pull the connector off. you can wiggle it out without unhooking that connector . there is another wing nut under the linner you have to take off, Then you should be able to pull the assm out. Just turn the socket counter clockwise and pop it out. The bulb just pulls out of the socket.
They might have the instructions on webelectrics site. You have to pull it out to put on sequencail turn signals.

Sylvania LL 3057. Five bucks a pair. Very easy bulb to replace. No tools necessary.

Okay, so today, while I was driving to AutoZone, funny enough, the turn signal stopped blinking fast. When I got out to check...the bulb was working again. I went ahead and bought bulbs anyway, but seriously? You made me crazy for 3 days...just to start working again?!

I'm thinking this may be an electrical problem, but my boyfriend isn't too worried about it. What do you guys think? I have an oil change appointment next Friday, so I'll let them know about the issue, just in case.

filament probably let go on one side and you hit a bump or pothole and knocked it back into place so it will work again for a day or two. change them out.

Hey! I forgot about this thread, but the update is that I changed out the light in about 10 minutes, it was super easy; next time I'm sure it will be faster. Saved me 30 bucks, so I'm a happy girl! Thanks for the help!
