I just turned 13,000 miles on my 2010 SRT 8 6 spd and I wanted to see how the motor is running so I decided to pull one of the plugs. Here's what the plug looks like:

Does the plug look normal? Is it running too rich? Too lean?

That looks normal - the side with coloring (tan color) is where its facing the intake valve.

Its normal to see that since the additives in the fuel deposit on the cooler side of the insulator, as it sees a constant stream of air/fuel mixture.

The exhaust valve (or area not facing intake valve) will run hotter and clean off, leaving the white insulator color as you see.

Black (unburned fuel) or oily deposits are the bad signs. Yours look like a normal engine's plugs should appear.

heh......unless you did a WOT pull and immediately shut the car down you are looking at nothing.

Ok guys, I'm getting ready to put her up for the winter and decided to pull all the plugs. i only got to the drivers side tonight. All the plugs looked like cylinder 1 did except the cylinder closest to the firewall. Here's what both plugs look like:

Is there anything that I should be worried about?

Definitely. I would be worried about the M1. Did you know you can use a spark plug wrench instead?

I think they mean "whats up with the rifle in the background of the pictures" You want to keep the bolt slide clean on the m1 rifle. I keep mine in the house when working on my car. my 9 ,I keep top draw in tool box. LOL Your last plug looked alittle nasty. How was it running befor you pulled the plugs. Do you get alittle blue smoke in the exhaust when you start it up some times??

Oh I gotcha! I'm not aware if any smoke when I start it up. I've never ripped on it cold. It's always been at least 3/4 up to temp before I try anything. All the plugs from the other cylinders are perfect. It's just the ones closest to the firewall that are concerning me.

Most V8s run alittle hotter in the back. Not sure what that would do to your plugs. Im no expert. Looks like carbon and burnt oil build up on the rear plugs. I heard some talk about the Hot hard start problem. There was a question of fuel leaking down from injector when eng off. Then preignition when cranking it hot. like haveing your timing off. piston coming up and heat and compression ignites fuel. but itsa bad burn with no spark like a deisel. I dont know, just throwing ideas out there. I only have 1200 miles On my srt and never thought about pulling the plugs. I dont need another thing to keep me up at night thinking about. Mine runs fine, it does blow alittle blue smoke some times when starting cold. But it sits for months not being used.
