What is the 0-60 time for the 6.1, SRT8? When mine was new with no mods, I did a 5.14.

That's a nice time. Did you launch with traction control off at 1,200 rpm?

Can't tell if this is an auto or manual (on the mobile), but the recommended launch by the SRT guys for the autos is to preload to 1,000 rpms and no higher than 1,200. Apparently timing gets pulled and some other thing in the PCM happens to reduce the maximum potential of the launch.

I can't remember how I launched, because it was over 3 years ago. I tried the other day with traction control both on an off. and launching at idol and I had too much spin. Times were around 6 second. That sucks.

when i got my best time of 4.3 i had traction control full on, auto stick and did no reving....just partially floored it to start with and eased it down quickly once it was rolling...no tire spin at all and not even a chirp into 2nd (my car doesnt seem to chirp into 2nd anymore)

i see no reason to turn the traction control off anymore.....not sure what rev'ing the engine does other than making it easier to spin the tires....the car's got enough torq low down and doesnt need rev'ing to help it....maybe the 6.1 is different than my 392 though...

I believe the throttle input gets derated if you're on the brake and throttle?

I do remember the first time I tried 0-60 was with my wife with me, traction control on, foot on the brake and 1500 RPM and my time was 5.34. I need to ease into it with throttle control on.

How many of you have a Diablo and an Automatic with raised shift points? I get these wild low 4, high 3 second results because when it hits second gear, it breaks the tires loose and the wheel speed hits 60. I see the timer stop then when the tires stop spinning its back down in the 50s on the digital speed readout below the timer. In other words, the raised shift points and the Diablo make it nearly impossible to get an actual 0-60. I guess I could try lowering the shift points which would lower the MPH when it shifts into second which in turn might lower the wheel speed on the 2nd gear wheel spin below 60...

Anyone else have this? It is an 08, so maybe that crappy open diff is part of the problem, but it usually slides a bit to the right ( which means both rears are spinning)

Your avatar picture is great! It totally throws me off when I try reading the posts lol. ;)

What modifications are you guys running with the Predator? 93 tune? Shift firmness? tire ratio? Anything else?

I'm picking up a Predator tuner for the SRT8 tomorrow. Just wondering what you guys have adjusted, I will not be using the throttle boost, my wife hates it on the Charger because she spins the tires in our rock driveway when she leaves lol :banger:

IF you have a 180* thermostat, DEFINATELY change the fan settings.

DEF increase the shift firmeness, i wouldn't adjust the shift points themselves

i wouldn't worry about throttle boost either, i say if yoy want more throttle, press on it harder ;)

i'm running a 93 oct tune since the 2 gas stations i get gas at offer 93 oct. BP and QT

ummm what else, i've got an auto and disabled MDS since the drone is annoying with my exhaust. that's about what i've done. it's in my SIG too.
