It looks just like a classic with different wheels, whats not to like ,wheels are a personal choice so it really doesn;t matter what wheels dodge puts on the classic,it one of the first things owners do to personlize their cars, if they don't like the wheels they change them

Love the wheels. In fact, I have a set waiting to be installed right now

I think the wheel looks good on the silver, not as sure on the red. I saw some on the local car lot recently and think they look better in person than they do in the photos.

A lot of guys liked the Crager look, but that isn't really true Mopar retro as the Cragers were an aftermarket rim. They should have come up with something that looked like the original rally rims, which would have been correct. These rims appear to be a takeoff on the old recall rims.

To each his own, but to my taste those new wheels are hideous.

If your talking about these rims that were recalled back in 1969-

Be nice to have a set, they are definitely worth some money.

Yep, those are the rims. I think they got their idea for the modern ones from those.

Not my cup 'o tea, however, it's what the owner likes. They buy it and like it, good for them.

Yeah, was thinking the same when some one posted a picture of the new R/T classic rim. Now only if they could do a modern version of the rally rim, not the Foose version.

when i was in high school in the mid/late 1980's every kid had a set of those Chrome Craigers on their 1977 Cutlass Supreme....When i saw Dodge was calling them a 'herritage' wheel i never understood it....it just looked like what was cool in 1987, not 1970 or 2011

i strongly prefer the new herritage rims....they would be my 2nd choice after the IE rims

What's the look we aren't supposed to like? the wheels? Yes,the wheels does not fit the classic look. Bring back the chrome clad. :disgust:

:werd:

I think there will be enough demand to sell/trade them for what you want. No different from how it was before.

They should probably offer both and let the customer decide. That said the chrome clad isn't really a classic look on that car as the original Challengers didn't come with a chrome wheel. They got rally wheels which had silver paint on them or they got the Magnum 500 rim. The Crager as stated before was an aftermarket rim.

I totally agree... I think I'd rather have hubcaps. I know that the Heritage wheels are patterned after Cragers, and I know Cragers are aftermarket wheels, but in my opinion, the Heritage Classic wheels are the best looking wheels available from the factory.

I think if those wheels were 18" instead of 20" it might make a difference. I have the 18" allows on my R/T and I'm happy with them. I like the classics better but deff better then chrome clad. I would not have picked my challenger with these wheels.

My dad had a 69 300 and these wheels were on it. They were recalled and we ended up with wheel covers and steel wheels. I still love the look. I really like the new, classic wheel.

I prefer the heritage wheels as many of you do, but I like the new classic wheel as well. I wasn't that crazy about it at first, but once I got my car and saw them in person, they started to grow on me. I agree they do look like the recall wheels. Don't think it's been mentioned here, but you can still get a new classic with the heritage wheels. It is an extra cost option though. I too would like something reminiscent of the Chrysler rallye wheels. Surprised no one has really come out with a good option for this yet. There are the Foose wheels, but they are discontinued, overpriced, and don't look quite right. I've also heard they can cause problems with the brakes overheating. Wheel Vintiques makes a billet Chrysler rallye, but they're 5x4.5 (lets not start that argument here) only come in 18", and are something like $700 a piece. I also haven't checked if the backspacing works, but I think you can get them with custom backspacing. I've thought about calling and seeing if they could do something custom, but if they could they'd be even more expensive. Really hope someone comes out with something, I'd love to put something that looks like rallye wheels on my car.

I personally like the "Crager" wheels on my 2011 better, but those aren't to bad.
