So I had a set of Envy wheels installed on my R/T today. After installation, I asked the tech how he rotated the tires. He just shrugged, saying he took them all off and put them back on. He said the tread felt great, so its no big deal
After 12k miles on the F1's, one tire had a minor sidewall scratch, so I was able to track it. It went from the front left to the rear right. My finger gauge tells me that the tread depth on it is the same as what is now on the front right.
So basically, the dude swapped sides with the tires, which is fine. Unfortunately, he moved one of the fronts to the rear and neglected to do the other.
I have appointments to go to tomorrow, meaning no time to get it fixed. The car will likely have 100-200 miles on it before I can swap them.
My question, is it worth swapping, or is this as he said "no big deal"?
