Diablosport has just released their new 'InTune Tuner'.Looks like it's quite and upgrade from the Predator.The cost is $399 so it's not much more than the Predator when it was released.If you were considering purchasing a Predator you may want to hold off until you check the InTune out.

Has anyone used one of these yet?If so how do you find it compared to the Predator?

While this unit is nice, just so people know it will not show you gauge type logging like the trinity.

What this does do is log data without the need of a laptop. However you can't watch said data as a gauge in real time, in the car,like the trinity.

Clarification on this product was a bit confusing at first.

While it doesn't show a gauge while datalogging, it does display data on the screen while you are datalogging - in real time.

Is it the same as the Trinity? Nope, it was never supposed to be - it is a replacement of the Predator with a bit more features (much easier to update with an Auto Update on a Windows Machine - drag and drop tune files - no need for DSDownloader like the Predator and Trinity to name a few).

Trinity is still the "Top Dog" - but the inTune is a big time upgrade from the Predator.

We have had the luxury to mess around with one here at the shop and it is a nice little piece of hardware!

Preditor is big bulky tool, I owned and never liked.
So intune is a scaled down preditor with a few extra goodies with the cost increased to maximize profit.
As said above by rudedog I use the gauge features in Trinity and like alot. Keeps from cluttering the car with specfic use gauges.
Knowing, once you get fast, there is no time to stare at gauges rolling down the track. Thats the data log job. Trinity gauges are nice for quick glances while loging.

Are these even shipping? If you go to DiabloSport's front page, they say "Now Shipping" but if you try and order one from DiabloSport - "Item is not available at this time."

That message was up before we started shipping.
It was left up due to the fact that very few, if any, inTunes have made it to their destination yet.

are the inTunes going to be model/year specific? I would like to get one now and be ready for the update that supports 2011. I mean at least in the mean time I can read DTC's and crap like that right? :)

note you can only use it on one vehicle at a time, meaning you have to load your stock tune back to the car before you can load a new tune to another make/model

I would love to be able to use this as a shift light/tach but not sure if you can do that.

ThanksNo...there are no 'gauges' on the inTune...you can watch RPM in real time though if you want as a small digital display.

From what I have read, the ease of use of the Intune is the major advantage compared to the Predator. I haven't seen any info that the actual tune loaded will be any better.

I have to say the serial port on the Predator that needed a USB adapter and computer software interface can be a pain, but it got the job done for most compters (problems with Win 7 and MAC). The Intunes pure USB connection is a pure pleasure just like using a thumb drive.

So, my decision is to buy a nice, new, easy to use, Intune for $389...
or buy a used Predator from somebody who is upgrading. Since you can still buy a new Predator for a hundred less than an Intune, a used Predator might be worth $150-$200 max. And the actual tune loaded will be just as good.

I hate to say it but don't get your hopes up.... not that soon at least. I have no inside info other then knowing a bit about encryption.

In regards to the intune, I would like to see some video of the unit in action as well as some screen shots of the different screens (you would have thought they would have this info up already)

I may be selling my diablo sport shortly to fund an itune or trinity just a bit worried that the trinity will get updated soon (seems to be a lot of problems with people not being able to use their key fob or GPS when the trinity is on....)
