392 Hemi Owners Are Like Buzz Bombs...Annoying!!!
I have only been on this site for a month but one constant annoyance to me has been the attitude of 392 Owners. They are like these annoying (Jap) Buzz Bombs...simply yack-yack-yack, popping off.
I've been around American Muscle Cars, both old & new, since the '70s and have never heard such "chestbeating" and "knocking" previous models from enthusiasts who claim allegence to the same flag.
Sure there is a difference between a SE, R/T and SRT. That is why it costs more. Likewise, I expect improvements - whether suttle or dramatic - from year to year. Today's auto world demands this.
The attitude between 2008-2010 R/T and SRT owners never expands on bragging. Let's remember that there was almost 40 years since Mopar owners where able to buy and enjoy a 2-door, RWD car with retro styling like the Challenger.
Old School enthusiasts of Max Wedge cars, 413 or 426, don't condemn the previous one even though there are 426 Stage 1 and Stage 2 engines, while snubbing there nose at the 413 varity.
What happens if they supercharge the 392, and leave normally aspired ones alone with no aftermarket solutions. Even better, offer the stroked 6.1 varriant 426 Hemi for the final two years of production.
Now the creaks and mouns, tics and bogs are slowly comming out about the 2011-2012 392 Hemi. I can't tune or supercharge it. Stock it runs great but...but...but...ugh!!!
Let's  to the 2008 to ... retro Challenger. We may never pass this way again. Remember, history just repeated itself. Twice in a lifetime was unheard of for this Poker Player. For me, it was the "Impossible Dream" coming true.
