I ordered a BT can can in black with powder coated black fittings and a Z bracket because that's what the sales guy said would fit. I hope he's right because I saw a pic of a member's R/T here with a fender mounted setup. Was the sales guy wrong? Haven't received the catch can yet.
Will it fit with the engine cover on? How about that resonator hanging off to the left of the intake tube?
If I get a solid answer, I may try to call back as we haven't even gotten word/email of shipping confirmation, etc since ordering online.
Thanks

Please keep us posted. I have a '12 that I want to put a catch can on.Will do. I hope it will go on the way I'd like. Don't care about the cover being on at the track but for everyday driving he'd like it on. Not sure, judging by pics if there's enough room for it with cover on and that resonator hanging out in the area. Hopefully someone has installed one with a Z bracket and stock resonator tube still there. Later, I could probably get him to order a Charger clean air tube tube to eliminate the resonator.

Check their web site, I think it specifically states that the "Z" bracket only fits 6.1/6.4 engines.

With the stock intake tube and cover in place he needs to use the fender mount. The Z mount only works with the 5.7 without the engine cover and with the EGR block-off. According to Speedlogix, anyway.
I have the fender mount, works just fine with the stock cover, etc in place.
I think you got screwed OP. R/T's with the stock air box and engine cover need the fender mount, which is why I ordered it that way (hasn't arrived yet).

This is correct!
The Z Bracket will work on a Challenger 5.7L as long as you don't have the stock intake and you don't use your Engine Cover.
EGR was only on the 05-08 5.7L, never on the Challengers :)

Well crap. I told the guy. I don't understand salesmen that don't have product/fitment knowledge!
Guess I'll have to make a call tomorrow to get the fendermount setup. Does that come with everything including hose typically?
Thanks for the help guys.

Thanks! And that oil is the reason I told Dad to get one on his new car...before it's loaded up in the intake with it.
