Greetings all. I haven't figured out how to create my signature. My new 09' Manual R/T Hemi Orange is stock so there isn't much to have on my signature YET!
I've been enjoying searching the forums. I have some basic questions after looking over everything.

1) Supercharger- If I have the money I'm going to do it. I like speed. I will not be taking it to the track though. The posts I've been reading seem to say the Magnacharger is a good "safe level of boost" for a stock and I think it was cheaper than the KB. I haven't found any data if the manual calls for certain supercharger. Is my thinking correct along the Magna? I would generate 470ish hp and 470 torque? with the stock tune? Any other manufacturers to consider?

2) This is where I get confused. What other add ons do I need if adding the supercharger? Am I safe rest of the components or do I need headers, catback, etc.

3) Most of the stuff I've read seem to say the CAI's don't add much in terms of performance. What other performance mods can I do if I can't do the supercharger and get the hp and tq both into the 400's?

4) I read a post on her that the Diablo Predator isn't very beneficial for the manual? You don't gain a lot of the power increases, but it is still supposed to have other benefits.

5) As a side question, I thought I read where the manual can take 87 octane with no problem. Is that correct? I put premium in the first fill up since I'm using it more for pleasure. Will I see any increased mpg or performance. I also keep seeing the 91 octane tune, etc, so I'm guessing that might be a benefit of having the Diablo?

Thanks for any help. There is so much information in here it is hard to filter through it all.

I have a ProCharger blower on my 6 speed SRT, and love it. The ProCharger is a centrifical blower, versus the roots style of a Maggie. The Maggie will give you instant power, while the centrifical will take a little time to spool up. Centrificals tend to be far smoother to drive in daily traffic, and usually make a bit more high end HP. With a stick and a centrifical blower, YOU decide how much boost and when...with a roots style, there is more of a problem with partial throttle boost. Some like one type, some the other.
My advice would be to beg, borrow or steal a ride/drive in cars like yours with both types and see which you like better.
The instant boost feels much faster, but it isn't, as a rule.
If you are anywhere near central Pa., you are welcome to ride in mine. (Sorry, but I ain't gonna let you drive it)! LOL
