I've done some searching and didn't come up with anything.. does anyone know if you can put a top fed blower on a modern 6.1 Hemi? (just to be clear, this is a blower that sticks out of the hood and gets air feed from the top)

Check out the Cult Energy Challenger. They have a Whipple with a bug catcher out the hood.

Should be fairly easy if you can fabricate. MSD and others offer a system to fire the coils when using a carb so just getting a pulley system and intake built and there you go. I would use the 6-71 just for shear looks

There was one guy on here that had one. It wasn't as big as a BDS 871. Much closer to the new Kenne Bell size. He had a picture of it, but I don't know if it ever got installed. I saw the post about a year ago.
