Ever since installing the Zoomers exhaust the annoying rattle from the Mopar Quad tips has been driving me crazy.

I loved the tips off of the Corsa/Mopar exhaust I took off, but the pipes were 2.75" and wouldn't fit in the 3" Zoomers exhaust.

So figured a little metal fabrication could fix that problem. I cut off the tips and then with a little cutoff wheel work I flared out the 2.75" to fit the 3" opening.

Then I welded all the gaps and used a carbide bit to smooth everything out.

Using the stock ball joint clamps the "new" old tips fit perfect and no more annoying rattle sound! Plus I like that I now have stainless steel tips instead of chrome.

Those are great looking exhaust tips! I've never seen them before, they're bad ass!

I have the same tips on mine, get compilments all the time, looks so much better than the stock tips in my opinion. Good job on the welding, and good way to keep those expensive tips.

Thanks...they are the best looking tips I think. Now I have a "cheap" set of Mopar exhaust tips...less than a 100 miles on them if anyone wants them!

Great mod! If I had the same option I would have done the same thing for sure. No, being in the situation I am, and hoping MySRT8U2 backs out.... I would be interested in your Mopar exhaust tips as well.

do the stock IE cars that come with the quad tips stock also make fluttering noises?

It seems to me that if the tip was designed better (2 branching pipes, 1 into each opening) then it wouldnt have this silly issue AND it would look better like the Borla catback tips (the most perfectly designed quad tips ever for our cars). I wish Borla sold them separately as a weld on part...

I think it is these Mopar tips that are the cause. They do look great but the tips are made and they are so close together that it sometimes knocks against each other. It actually isn't THAT bad and I only ever heard it with the windows rolled down when I was starting out.
