Ok so according to this post on another forum (IDK how I came across it) the 2013 R/T is going to have an apparence package here is the thread post they did over in the Cuda-Challenger forum.

"Went to the bookstore last night and the currenct copy of Mopar Collector's Guide had an article about the new 2013 Challenger T/A Dodge will be selling soon. Looks VERY cool and based on what they showed its an add-on the the regular Challenger R/T not the SRT so the price isn't going to be too bad (around $3.5k for the package). Has the hood, stripes, spoiler like the original, and apparently all options are available. Very, very cool to me. Has me thinking how I could possibly get one for sure." - Road_Runner

Sounds pretty sweet but I was hoping something along the lines off "Ok guys So since we don't use the 6.1 Engine anymore on the SRT8 we'll put them in on the new RT challenger" - My fantasy

But I forgot 3.5k ??? I think that might be a little too expensive if it really is just the stripes and spoiler when I could get that for cheaper after market...

But I guess that would piss a lot of people off so not going to happen :\

What I want to know is will there be any performance upgrade of the R/T for 2013? Becaus if so I will hold on buying one.

You would probably spend about $1500 to buy, paint, and install the R/T hood. Plus then you would have a painted hood to sell to re-coup a couple of bucks.

8 speed auto is coming. Not sure if will arrive in early 2013 or 2013 at all. Suppouedly some Chrysler U.S. plant is supposed to start building them soon and when they do all the hemi equiped vehicles will get that trans. I am assuming that since the 8 speed has a .50 overdrive 8th gear that this auto will get a 3.92 rearend gear. If so, there should be a definite 0-60 and 1/4 mile improvement for that fact alone for the 5.7 RT Challenger.

I am 99% sure that thread is referencing the Mopar Collector's Guide article on a dealer-installed (read that "Added Dealer Profit") T/A package. The dealer was in Ringgold, Georgia. I read the article and was not impressed with the package or cost. Even the lettering on the front fenders is funky.

its already been posted that the Challenger will never get the 8 speed....the Charger was resigned and will accept it, but the Challenger hasnt been redesigned and wont accept it

i figured they'd to a TA edition...good...they already have the hood, so all it takes is stickers...

im hoping it has the side exhaust and some minor HP improvements (ala Mopar 10)

i look forward to seeing it....

The TA package sounds like the mopar exterior package I have on my 2012 Challenger RT I have the TA hood scoop,cuda stripe and spoiler and that was listed on the sticker for 2000.000...

Any T/A edition needs to take on the Boss 302. 6.4 motor with upgraded suspension and minimal options (no power seats, no navi, no leather, etc.).
