I had 300c SRT8 .... and I was seriously considering buy strut braces for it, because:
1. I read that it will eliminate the the flex ... was very noticeable in the 300c
2. I read some post where people said that the strut brace hugely improved the ride quality ... they said their cars felt smoother and better on rough roads and over humbs and holes ...... which I really needed for my 300c

Now I have and SRT8 Challenger .... and when I compare it to my previous 300c, the Chally is differently better in many ways... some of which is that the car is more rigid and I don't see any flex... the car is also more comfortable over some sort of manholes and road cuts..... but still I want to improve this area in particular...... the car sometimes gets annoying with it is suspension noise!!

most post are from 300c owner or RT owners .... so I'd like to hear from SRT8 Challenger with strut braces
1. whether it is worth it get a strut brace or not?
2. whether I will notice the difference with strut brace in normal driving
3. and most importantly whether the strut braces will improve the smoothness & ride quality .... especially on rough road with cuts and manholes etc
4. what's the best mod that improves the ride quality and eliminate the suspension noise?

I appreciate your input

I have the strut tower brace and the rear shock tower brace and the ride is like a different car. When I first got my SRT challenger I thought it road and handled good. Then I got the braces. What a difference.

Thanx this's helpful. How about the ride quality did it changed it improved? What do you think is the best thing to do improve the ride quality. You know sometimes the car gets annoying over manholes, roads cuts etc.

Do you have an SRT?

You have lots of suspension mods, how would you recommend me to start to improve the ride quality... I like stiffness but I hate to hear noise from underneeth that makes you feel the car isn't very well built... I guess we all like the feeling of the ultimate build quality!!

I have a decent amount of suspension mods on my car, coilovers and both front and rear strut braces. The handling is phenomenal now. Next on my list is sway bars and then finally pedders bushings all around. Usually improvements in the suspension will have a negative effect on ride quality. Some more than others. I definitely feel the imperfections of the road now, and that's fine for me. But some people will not like this. For me, how my car handles in the twisties is greater than the negative affect on ride quality.

I don't mind feeling the roads .... But I don't like to hear noise from some of the suspension parts (control arms, strut bushings etc) I like to feel that the car is solid & well built.... So you may feel the rough road but also you feel your car is sold & can handle such rough roads... So you're not concern about damaging the car.

I've driven a 2012 cls Benz 350 and it was wonderful when you drive on rough roads, you feel the roads but you hear noise and you think the car can handle a lot more

I've also driven 2011 BMW x6m and it was stiff and you could definitely feel the roads but you don't hear any suspension noise

I've also drivena 2012 Porsche Carrara S, and that car was stiff & sold as hell and you feel every crack on the roads but it was amazing..... You still don't hear suspension noise ... I decided not to drive this car again because it may ruin the joy of driving my car!!

Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think the noise is a must with stiff suspension as I explained... Because my 2010 srt8 challenger is stiffer than my previous 2010 300c srt8, but still better than 300c, and I can feel it has a better chassis

On one of the post I read about strut bars the writer stated after installing a strut brace he felt the car became tighter & stiffer and a lot smoother and better over roads cracks and manholes..... This got me very excited to primary improve the ride quality and secondly the handling of the car
So I ask:
1. whether or not a strut brace will improve the ride quality and eliminate the noise I hear from the car's underneeth?
2. What will help most in improving the ride quality & eliminating the noise over manholes etc so I can enjoy driving the car free of guilt that Im ruing it!!!!????

A strut brace in my opinion is not going to eliminate any noises you hear or make the ride smoother. And these aren't european sedans that cost $70000+. If you want to improve your ride the most, and eliminate any noises you might here, then order a full set of pedders bushings and all your trouble will be gone. It will handle much better and the suspension will be like butter.

Thanks a lot .... The bushings will be worth it .... My only concern is that my car is still under warranty and when they find any damaged control arm or strut tension etc they replace them right a way .... Now if I change these parts bushings ... These parts will no longer be covered under warranty .... Is that right?

Thanks a again I will be reading about the bushings ... Hope they won't affect the warranty

I contacted Pedder and they told me their bushings won't make the car quiter unless I have a failed bushings .... I know I don't so going that road is not for me

I was advised by one expert that the sound I get is caused by srt8 struts they make they make the same sound even if they are new

The strut tower braces will make it handel better at high speeds and when pushed but will not fix the common noise in the front end. Do a search, there is a excellant thread on here about that. The noise from bumps comes from the sway bar link connection to the sway bar. The thread and pictures show it all.

I was wondering the same thing. I don't mind road noise, etc. But I notice if I hit a speed bump, or dip just right it sounds like a popping noise.

I have to go to the dealer next week and was going to mention it to them, but not sure if this was normal or something broken.
