I would twin the car but that's because I like turbos over blowers. That's just me. Sts and hellion make kits for the 5.7 but I do know you will need a boost-a-pump amongst other things but I think I remember reading that with only a valvebody upgrade and upgraded clutch packs, the auto trans can hold 1000whp. Couple that with a stall and you're lethal.

I would go with a kenne bell twin screw LC. They are the only blower that is 50 state emissions certified. If you go with turbos they may not pass emissions in your state. I have a kenne bell on my rt 525hp and 476tq with those numbers and my 1/4 mile time it puts that in the mid 11s.

Screw I would not use a stall TC. Tons of low end. Pro charger or vortech, turbos then use a stall. Blue top upgrade is a must in the auto at the very least.
Vortech will get you passed also. Dont know about MPG with the screw but on the V on the highway I pop way over 20mpg.
I also run mid 11s with 34,000 on the Stock motor. When hot 90 + and greasy I still run 11:60s to 80s.
Many things to consider, when going blown. I also like the LC systems. Use of ice/cold water for the air charge.
Vortech was an easy install, cost was not bad, zero trouble.
When NA I ran high 12s, did the sc and went 12:20 on nitto street tires. On to a TC and slicks, tune, trans, mid 11s stock motor

My best MPG on my Kenne Bell was 31.5 MPG. With me always having my foot in it about 22MPG. Also the Kenne Bell does not produce boost unless you are a WOT so if I just want to drive around and not get into it drives just like I didnt have SC installed. As far as the other Procharger, Vortech I think they make boost regardless.

Great MPG !!!! blows 24.9 out the window. The vortech also has a wot valve, so its blowing it off just like a bell driving around. When the manifold vac drops from going wot the bypass closes pumping the vortech psi into the motor. 8 psi is 8psi, its when it get there is the diffrence between the screw and the centrifcal or turbo.
I can only speak for my 34,000 mile motor and my ET

Okay Greg here it is the straight scoop on the STS kit. It is a very good kit for entry level install will take about 60 man hours. When I first had the kit installed no boost pump only ran on about 3 psi as it was the first VVT to get this kit. We went very slow I should also add I already had LT's once we added the boost a pump we were able to get 488 rwhp and 540 rwtq as you recall I was breaking half shafts as soon as I ran sticky tires. My gas milage on long trips was 29.5 with a average speed of 80mph. Out of the hole with a six speed she wouldn't do it. But making modifications to your transmission you will run like a raped ape and pull good millage I would suggest going with SRT8 shorty exhaust manifolds and mid pipes. She drove just fine also with a stock STS kit I would suggest beading all connections figure your only going to be at about 5 to 6 psi.
As you know I sold my kit and it was upgraded with many additional items and yes she ran the number I was after the new owner of the system is tearing up his town from what I heard. Turbos are very expensive on the installation and BTW when it was all stock I had no issues with passing State Emissions and I was running LT & High flo cats so it all comes down to the tune. Good luck in your quest.
