I apologize since this has probably been discussed before but I heard good things about the JBAs and I was leaning towards them and the cheapest I found them were for 375 with free shipping.
I think the BBKs are cheaper around 300 or a little less but wanted input from guys who have owned either or. Perf gains that you know of. Ease of installation? Hoping the motor doesn't need to be raised up because that sounds like a pain :/
Thanks for any info. Sorry for my ignorance!

Go with the jba. I just installed the bbk shorties and noticed no difference in sound or performance over stock headers. I already had cai, exhaust , and pred tune so maybe i wouldnt have got any difference with jba either. Am not impressed with the bbk though, bought them strictly cause that what i always used on my mustangs. Most likely will switch to the jba shorties and catless mids myself in time.

Good to know. It just seems like most guys running R/Ts have the JBAs on.

Just my .02 CAD I would go longtube only if getting headers.
Shorties in general don't give much gain.

I agree on the longtubes, which is what i originally ordered, but my car is too low for longtubes as they sit lower than factory/shorties, and I scrape now. I dont track my car so form over function on this one

I'm running the BBK's and I chose them because I felt the way that they assembled and welded the tubes to the mounting flange was a better design than the JBA's. I don't know if it's true, but from the pictures it appeared that the BBK flange was thicker and therefore less prone to warpage. I have had zero problems with them.
Installation is a royal pain. I did it myself on a creeper without removing any parts other than the mid pipes and cats. The only part removal that might have helped would have been to remove the engine mounts and I in no way wanted to do that. With some scraped knuckles and colorful language I was able to get them in, even using 5.7 gaskets, and I've had no leaks since installation.
Good luck with your choice.

I will agree the overall construction is very good. Had some issues with them not wanting to seal to my cats. Looked like the passenger side header was warped but was just an optical illusion I guess due to the lighting under my car and the ceramic coating. Was a huge pain n the arse to install. Ended up taking mine to Midas and having buddy put it on lift and then talking him into finishing install. Lol. No leaks so far but no noticeable gains either
