I installed the MOPAR carbon fiber dash and console but I could not find anyone that sells the wheel inserts, so I went to my local hobby shop and purchased a sheet of parma carbon fiber decal. I removed the steering wheel inserts and laid them on the backing of the decals and traced the outline. I left a little bit extra on the edges so i could role it over to give it a factory look. I think it cam out nice. It does not match the Mopar pattern but it looks much better than the silver painted spokes. and it only cost me $5. And yes I was speeding when I took this picture.:bluecap::ohyeah:

It looks great... but you couldn't take the picture while the car wasn't moving? :icon_frown:

Hey Craig did you decide not to do the steering wheel switches? That does look nice now though.

Yes Pat decided to keep the wheel buttonless. I ordered a 7" wide touchscreen stereo/dvd/bluetooth/wmp/usb/etc...plus a backup camera. Amazon had a killer deal on a head unit I couldn't pass it up. $147 for the head unit and $25 for the camera, it even has night vision. The head unit is made by PYLE along with the camera. I read all the reviews and only found a few negatives, someone even said they put in it in there 2011 Challenger. For that price I will give it a go.Here is a link.

Thanks for the link on that head unit been looking for one. I'm pretty frugal so it's right down my alley. The reviews look good too. I might just have to jump on that.

Just got the new double din stereo installed, had to modify the dash bezel and cut the tabs in the inner dash. Was not a hard install , I soldered all the wires using a install kit from metra , I tapped into the reverse light for power in the rear for the back up camera. The system works flawlessly and is very user friendly. Like I said originally for less than $200 i got a touch screen dvd bluetooth wmp it even has a ipod hookup and a usb in the front and rear. The only thing i didn't like is I had to cut my new carbon fiber dash bezel. But I am going to add a trim piece and cover the cut edges, not that it looks bad but I'm picky.

Love the inserts...I just bought the Mopar Carbon fiber dash kit and was searching the net to find matching steering wheel inserts and came upon this thread through google..

I wonder why they sell a dash kit and don't include the steering wheel insets too!? Kind of Stupid if you ask me..

I wanted to ask on that head unit, how did you get the back up camera to work? I thought you would need lockpick or something like that to get video in motion///(Drive/Reverse)....

Its an aftermarket head unit with a backup camera. I just tapped into the reverse lights. I comes on instantly.

By the way I did the "inserts for about $5" Parma graphics.

Thanks for the reply....

Will it also play DVDs while you drive? If so that's not a bad deal you got there!

but i am leaning towards a Panasonic unit...just not sure about camera and DVD being playable.

If I tap into reverse with any unit, will it work or is it dependant on the unit itself?

It will not play the video of a DVD while you drive but will play the audio.
The backup camera is activated by the back up lights. So as soon as I put it in reverse the camera comes on. no delay.
