There are CAT scales near me at a QT station so I decided to weigh my 2012 Challenger SXT Plus. It had 1/8 tank of gas and the options include Redline 3 coat paint, SS/T Group, Electronic Convenience Group W/O sunroof.
The scales showed it weighed 3,900 pounds with no one in the car or any luggage. It's interesting but it pretty much matches the 3,897 pound shipping weight that is on the cars invoice.
Good to know..... I always actually wondered. It seems that HP, torque, weight, etc...have been very accurate regarding what Mopar has claimed about these cars.
I'm even experiencing higher than advertized MPG.
So far I've gotten around 24MPG combined city and highway and my best 0 to 60 has been 6.66 seconds. I'm sure both will improve as the engine breaks in, right now it has 2,000 miles on it.

Good to know the weight, so far my best mpg has been 31, my 60 mph is around 6.5, not to shabby for a nearly 2 ton car with 305 hp. Also the for anyone using a I phone, the available performance meters are also accurate. At least mine is.

All very regularly reported numbers. To me, if this was in the 70's/80's, the thought of a 4000 pound car with a stock American 6 cylinder doing a 0-60 in just over 6 seconds and getting mid-20's MPG would have been laughable.
My biggest peeve is the Fly By Wire. My car is quicker, not floored!...just about 3/4 throttle. I've hit a 6.2+ but...., just by sheer chance, I nailed the 'sweet spot' right out of the gate. Then, next time, it's different again.
