Hey All,

Just picked up my first Challenger a few weeks ago, a 2012 R/T. (Black). Love the car so far, but lot's of things I'm finding I didn't know before I bought it. Valves are noisy as hell. (HEMI tick I guess)? sounds like a fast flutter sound past 2000 RPM's that speeds up during acceleration. I installed the MOPAR cold air intake a week ago, love it so far. I also ordered a Billet catch can since so many people here recommended it.

Update with pic and mods so far:

Mopar Colad Air Intake
BT catch can
2012 SRT OEM Wheels with GY Eagle F1 Supercars 255/245 staggered.

Thanks

I went from 18s to 20s and kept my same ride height. The gap doesn't bother me. I guess it's all about what you like.

I'm thinking about ordering the Factory Reproductions charger SRT wheels like these:

Dodge Charger - Black/Machine Face - Factory Reproductions (http://www.factoryreproductions.com/factory/pc/Dodge-Charger-Black-Machine-Face-c289.htm)

My question is if I mount low profile tires like goodyear eagle F1's or Pirelli Pzero's, will I need to drop the car at all to close the gap, or is the factory ride height good to go?

Anything else I should know?

Thanks

What does the catch can do?

Welcome from Georgetown, TX! Great color choice!

BigB, the catch can separates oil mist in the PCV line and collects it to prevent its entry into the intake manifold where it coats everything. I've got the Moroso one ( built-in drain valve makes it easy to empty) and it's done its job so far. I've collected about 1/3 cup of oil that would otherwise be coating my manifold/valves/pistons, etc.
