Just wondering if I remove my factory cats and leave it straight pipes to my cherry bombs, what problems would I run into other then the CEL or Cops? Any stalling? Or high gas milege?

I predict the car won't self-tune that well with no feedback from the oxygen sensor...just guessing. If you upsized your pipes when you added the CB's, the low end torque may be even further off with the cat removal. Now that a great deal of resistive damping effect has been removed from the system with no cats and straight pipe going back to the CB's, I anticipate the exhaust tuning at the torque peak will now be very abrupt and sharp...hits like a jolt over a narrow band of rpm and then quickly goes flat above or below. I'm completely guessing on all of that.

If you got the straight-thru variety of CB, it will probably be ear wrenching with midrange and high frequency sound w/o the cats. The deep bass will be there, too, but it won't seem like much with midrange and HF out-shouting it like nobody's business. This sound will not be for the faint of heart...

How will you pass state emissions testing without cats?

If you are lucky enough to live in a free state where they don't do emissions testing/taxing...you shouldn't have a problem.. google "spark plug anti fouler oxygen sensor"...I've been using them with no problems at all. I've got over 3 years of proof.
