Anybody try or is using Hurst part number 5380402? This part is the Comp Stick Kit for the auto transmissions. I'm thinking about purchasing one for my '12 SRT-8. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I have it in my R/T. I really like the look and style but it's simply a dress up item.

Thanks. Yep, that's what I saw, which was OK with me. I would think it's kinda tough to improve on the A5 shifter.

I was going to purchase one of these until I called Hurst. I asked about fitment for the '12s (specifically the SRT's) They told me it would fit and work. However, Dodge decided for '12 to restyle the center console, somewhat. They placed some curvature into the bezel, center console surround and the OE shifter plate. The Hurst plate is flat. It would fit the '12 but according to Hurst the plate, at the corners would slightly protrude above the chrome shifter bezel. They said it wouldn't be visually noticeable although you would "feel" the differences... This kinda worried me a bit...

I also looked at a shifter ball. I'm rethinking this. When the OE shifter knob is removed, a skinny stick is left. I'm not sure how well a knob would look perched onto the skinny stick. What I don't want is a "black lollipop" sitting in the middle of my console. More research...

This is mine. I love the way it adds to the interior look and style.

My wonderful wife ordered me one for a Father's Day gift. Oh the wait . . .

The other option is Billet Technologies -- I had their shiftball and shaft "enhancer" on my Jeep SRT8. The shaft "enhancer" just slips over the stock shaft to make it thicker. Let me see if I can find a photo of it . . .

it works fine on the '12 model. there is ever so slight bit of extra curvature on the '12 vs. the '11 bezel but not enough to even notice much, and its faces forward of the console so unless you're staring at it you won;t even notice. The hurst piece is all billet so its not going to "bend" to the console. it will look great in the car!.

Do you have any pics? I'm sort of picky and finicky when it comes to this stuff -- and if the plate sticks up, I'll notice it and it will probably bug the you know what out of me. BTW, you have mail...:D

The shifter kit comes with a slip over handle that is held in place to the OE handle by several set screws (3 each). The ball that comes with the kit, threads onto this shaft with a jam nut to hold the ball in place. I'm not sure of the thread size for the Hurst slip over shaft. But, I would wager Hurst offers a T-Handle that would screw onto this kits shaft.

A Hurst shifter like this one, stunner rims, and a couple of Hurst logo decals would create a fairly low buck Hurst vehicle. How would a Hemi Orange Hurst car look?

Looks cool, what do you think about the T-handle shifter?
I am enjoying mine a lot.
