I am looking to treat my Challenger to some new rubber this summer. I am looking for some drag radials that will help with traction, it's just way too easy to spin the factory tires.
My goal is better traction so I can take off spiritedly and just go without a bunch of wheel spin (and as a bonus help avoid the dreaded wheel hop).
My questions are:
- What brand tire would you recommend?
- I would like the staggered look. Leave the stock tires and rims on the front, and find some drag radials to put on my factory 20" rims in the back. Any issues with this?
- How big of a tire will fit without fear of rub, 275?
Thanks in advance for the help...

For the track I use the MT 275/40/17s
Some people are using the Nitto NT05R

Nitto NT555R 275/40/20. Almost same height as stock 255/45/20. A good street-oriented DR.

Only problem is..........they don't last very long, even if you are not burning them up. If you do a lot of interstate driving, they definately won't last long. I went thru lots on on my mustang. On a side note, it is nice to drive to the track and not have to unload your slicks and jack up the car to switch them.

A 20" tire won't be very good at the track if you have any sort of power adder. Stock it will help a lot though.

Ripp, I bought me some cobra wheels on eBay and got some MTDRs, ET Street 305/45/18. I put them on at home when I'm going racing and drive it to the track.. You would eat these up as a daily driver because they are very soft. then I'll put my street tires back on after the race.

I have Nitto 555R's on my car (08 SRT8). 305-35-20. They do pretty good. I have been told that the Mickys would do better, but I could not find any when I bought tires last month. I race the mile where the launch it is not as important, but these are so much better than what I was running. I have a Auto, but I am over 800 RWHP.
